When the Beach Boys got together in 1961, they called themselves the Pendletones–a reference to the plaid board shirts every real surfer wore then. The shirts were both practical outerwear and cool style statements. Now, 50 years later, boarders–surf, snow and skate–still wear this classic shirt jac.
